Uncle Nick, was the sweetest, kind and generous person I ever knew. When I came to NY a while ago he wanted to show me everything around the city. We went together with the boat to visit the statue of liberty, the empire state and other places and I remember a cool place with the best American pancakes!
He was very generous and wanted me to get the most out of my visit. One day he gave me $800 to go shopping. He said to me Marianna I know you are a student and you don't have much money now, so here you go and go for some nice shopping around the city! I couldn't believe it. For me this was major!
Uncle Nick I love you and will always remember you.

I wouldn't know where to start sharing *a* memory of Nick, as a neighbor and friend for many years, a flood of them came back to me when I heard of his passing. I will always remember Nick as kind, earnest, patient, a philosopher and oh my God I admired his dedication to projects and craftsmanship. But his love of family and his dedication to Jan, who I miss dearly, stand out first and foremost. Godspeed Nick. I trust you and Jan are together again.

Driving upstate every summer with my Uncle to go see my family. The ride up there was the best listening to all the oldies stopping to get his coffee and hide from my aunt if he smoked a cigarette here and there. I will love and miss him and am thankful to have all the amazing memories.
